By Drivers Get On Their Bikes

Brian Yeardley's team of truck drivers get on their bikes for Safe Urban Driving training, where both the drivers in the General Cargo and TRUCKINGBY divisions will be put through a cycle awareness training programme as part of the company working towards gaining the FORS Silver certification.

The cycle safety training allows the truck drivers to experience what it is like to be a 'vulnerable road user' and the hazards that trucks pose to cyclists in urban environments.

Sarah Hopper, BYC Quality Director said, 'Brian Yeardley Continental have held the FORS Bronze certification for over 3 years, we are now sending more trucks into central London and other major UK cities, as our event business grows, plus we have recently been involved in moving 170 full load of office equipment from Italy to the new Bloomberg building in Cannon Street, London.  Due to the success of this we have more business booked for this sector for the next couple of years where one of the requirements is that we are FORS Silver certified.'
